Hellbender Brewing Company

Kölsch: A traditional German Kölsch ale brewed with all American ingredients.  We brew this golden yellow hued beauty with 2-row barley, wheat, crystal, and Munich malts, toss in an authentic German Kölsch ale yeast strain, then cold condition at lager temperatures, giving it a brilliant, crisp pilsner quality.  Starts slightly bitter with floral and spicy hop aromas and finishes clean and dry. Note the biscuit and bread flavors as they mingle with the spicy noble hops.

Red Ale: Not just another generic red ale!  This full bodied American red ale will draw you in with its deep ruby red color and rich toffee aromas.  Generous doses of late addition American hop varieties infuse notes of orange, citrus, floral and passion fruit.  It may have a big body, but this ale finishes light and refreshing.

IPA: Loaded with rich floral, citrus and pine notes, this bold and spicy IPA is a glorious celebration of the American hop.  Our IPA is light in color with a rich body, and the majority of the three varieties of whole-flower hops are added late in the boil for flavor and aroma, so don’t be fooled by its light golden color.  With it’s full body, complex hop aromas and clean finish, this beer is a hop head’s paradise!

OUR BEERS....

Hellbender Brewing Company was created out of a true love for the art, culture, history, and science of craft brewing.  Just taste the beer we produce, and you will see the difference.  We have created every recipe as an artistic interpretation of an existing style, and refined it with years of tasting and fine tuning.

All of our flagship beer ingredients come from American brewing supply companies that source ingredients from the American midwest and northeast.  The majority of the hops that we use are grown in Oregon and Washington State, but some of our specialty beers will be brewed with hops from our very own farm in upstate New York.
